Romania national soccer team changed its coach

The new head coach of the Romanian Cup was Viktor Pitsurke. In this position, he was replaced by Razvan Lucescu – the son of a mentor Donetsk “Shakhtar” Mircea Lucescu. June 16, Pitsurke, who led the national team for the third time, signed with the Romanian Football Federation four-year contract, AFP informs.
The salary of the 55-year-old coach will be 35 thousand Euros per month. In addition, Pitsurke will receive a substantial reward in that case, if a team gets into the final tournament of Euro 2012 or the 2014 world championship.
Previously Pitsurke coached the national team of Romania in 1998-2000 and in 2004-2009. The coach admitted that he was happy for the third time to become a mentor of the team, and expressed hope that the team will delight their fans.
In the qualifying tournament, Euro 2012 Romanian Team ranks fourth in group D, but by going in the first place behind the French just five points.
